Subject: The Virus

Here is my variant of the Virus.

As the major powers exsusted their crew reserves to fight in the
Rebellion. The navies had to rely on more autonimous ship systems. This
resulted in computers gaining a rudimentary self awareness. When the
war was fought for logical objectives and means, the semi-selfaware
ships were "happy" to blast other semi-selfaware ships.

The "Black War" changed that! The War had degenerated to outright
revenge and cruelty. Many computers suffered a nervous breakdown.
Some commited suicied. Some decided to wipeout the true virus: mankind.
Still others decided to control the technology that mankind could have.

Okay, I'm a lazy so and so, and I'm under work pressure, but I'll put my
hand up.

Anyone who has created pocket empire settings for Traveller is cordially
invited to send details to me at mickb@thehub.com.au, and I'll work them up
into a directory on my home page.

It'll give me something to do besides worry about whether I'll make it as an
Air Traffic Controller!

Cheers,

Mick

Myomers exist and have been known for some time. I have "used" them in my
battle dress suits in my Imperium for some time (pre-mechwarrior, *I*
thought of the myomer powered suit before they did ;)
